چکیده
EEorts on the numerical approximation and simulation of control of time periodic parabolic distributed parameter system are reported. Test examples have been chosen suc that the optimal control can be explicitly computed via analytical methods. The approximation framework and convergence theory are applied to a polynomial spline based approximation scheme. In the case of control of one dimensional time periodic reaction diiusion systems, the convergence of the kernels of the Hilbert-Schmidt representation of the solutions of the approximate periodic Riccati equations is proved. Techniques for solving time periodic Riccati diierential equations and simulation of the optimal feedback control systems are discussed. Numerical results reported here demonstrate the convergence of the approximate control inputs and feedback operators. Numerical simulation is used to investigate the performance of the approximate optimal controls as well as the sensitivity of the closed-loop system to the errors in the time measurements.

متن کاملFinite-Difference Time-Domain Simulation of Light Propagation in 2D Periodic and Quasi-Periodic Photonic Structures
Ultra-short pulse is a promising technology for achieving ultra-high data rate transmission which is required to follow the increased demand of data transport over an optical communication system. Therefore, the propagation of such type of pulses and the effects that it may suffer during its transmission through an optical waveguide has received a great deal of attention in the recent years. We...
متن کاملPseudo-spectral Matrix and Normalized Grunwald Approximation for Numerical Solution of Time Fractional Fokker-Planck Equation
This paper presents a new numerical method to solve time fractional Fokker-Planck equation. The space dimension is discretized to the Gauss-Lobatto points, then we apply pseudo-spectral successive integration matrix for this dimension. This approach shows that with less number of points, we can approximate the solution with more accuracy. The numerical results of the examples are displayed.
متن کاملWeakly-compressible SPH and Experimental modeling of periodic wave breaking on a plane slope
Breaking waves have ability to transport large quantities of sediment and significant impact on coastal structures morphology. Hence, modeling of wave breaking is an important subject in coastal and marine engineering. In this research, the periodic wave breaking process on a plane slope is studied experimentally and numerically. Laboratory experiments were conducted to record water surface ele...
متن کاملFictitious Domain Technique for the Calculation of Time-Periodic Solutions of Scattering Problem
The fictitious domain technique is coupled to the improved time-explicit asymptotic method for calculating time-periodic solution of wave equation. Conventionally, the practical implementation of fictitious domain method relies on finite difference time discretizations schemes and finite element approximation. Our newmethod applies finite difference approximations in space instead of convention...
